Days 14,15 and 16 Graduation and Rock Choir concert

Phew! Got back late last night after an eventful few days from my point of view but not much from Nick's as I will go on to explain.
Had to rush over to Bath on Wednesday (which was sooner than I had originally planned) for Chris's graduation and as it was now 3 nights I had to be away this involved asking Sarah to come in and feed Tabby and the other mangy moggie (a beefy, rather war torn male) which suddenly in the last week started to let itself in through the cat flap and eat all her food! So, would you believe it, enough food and water had to put out for two cats! I am waiting ready with the 'super soaker' to get that damn cat. When it comes today it is going to have the shock of it's life!
Anyway, graduation went well and then I had a couple of days staying in Holly's flat perched high on Landsdown hill with its fantastic views from the balcony overlooking the city centre and Bath Abbey. I had booked the special meal to celebrate for the Friday when I thought the ceremony was going to be, which is why I had to stay the extra days but it was worth the wait.

The guy in front got wacked on the head by Chris when the hats were thrown up!

Summer finally arrived and it was a perfect sunny, warm evening to walk down to Bath Priory with it's lush gardens. The meal was beautiful with matching wine but it was tempting to fill up with the lovely hand made rolls when we were served the tiny exquisite portions, thinking that there wouldn't be enough to fill us up. No need to worry, with 6 + fabulous courses there was plenty of food and we came away feeling completely stuffed, especially Chris who did eat most of the bread! The long walk back up the hill in high heels didn't seem half so far on the way back for some reason. It's a shame Nick wasn't there in body only in credit card thankfully but I think we did him justice.
From there I went to sing at the O2 on Saturday with the other 16000 Rock Choir members which was great fun if you like lots of older ladies going bananas! It was certainly a spectacle anyway but I think the ladies toilet facilities at the O2 were severely tested as you can imagine and came up wanting.
Hope you aren't too bored by this but if you are looking for details of the ride at the moment there aren't really any, except to say that Matt and Nick are both ok and cheerful. They have coped with the rides of the past few days well and have used them to train for the big ride today which they have all been worried about ie 130 miles followed by Mont Ventoux. Those who don't get to the mountain by 7pm they will not be allowed to do it today because there will not be enough time to get over it. Matt and Nick would both be very disappointed if that happened to them so fingers crossed. After today I can go and get my dress for Paris!
I don't expect to hear from them but probably will do tomorrow as it is a rest day.
